Saving money is easy

Despite the recent drops in interest rates there has been little to improvement in the economy. This has left many people still struggling just to make the two ends meet. But there are ways that we can save money but without having to go without too much at all, this is done by just making some realistic changes to our lifestyles and finances.

Here are just a few:

Plug into bargain electricity
Hit the brakes on automobile-insurance rates
Challenge your council tax
Shop for a bargain bank
Remedy pricey prescriptions
Pay off your plastic
Say no to car extras
Take a longer waiting period for disability insurance
Cancel mortgage insurance
Explore a dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP)
Buy straight from the Treasury
Clean out your closet
Skip the service contract
Flex your company’s flexible spending account
Buy in bulk
Rethink your holidays

Of course the whole object of this exercise is trim off the outgoings in order to make life easier, not so that you can add a little more onto the credit card.
