Iron Man makes $100 million

The latest comic strip from Marvel to hit the big screen has done so with some success, only being out for less than one week the film “Iron Man” has taken $98.6 million at the box office, but these figures were not enough to take the number one spot of best debuts which are non sequels.

In fact the number one spot is actually another Marvel comic strip hero, “Spider Man” but the figures could be growing even further simply because the world wide box office takings are currently standing at around $200 million.

However it is not the end for Marvel, as they are planning even more films, there will be Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, and all these films will be coming out in 2010 and 2011, which is simply great going for the film industry and fans.
