Drug dealer claims 1/4 million from bank

The Supreme Court in Switzerland has ruled that a claim put forward by a convicted drug dealer for some cash that he had stashed away in a Swiss bank account returned to him after it was seized by the authorities.

The drug dealer who comes from Australia had been in prison and travelled to Switzerland on a false passport to reclaim his cash which was confiscated.

The authorities were found to have had no right to seize the money as there is no link between crimes that he had committed and the country; there fore the money £253,000 has to be returned to him.

The drug dealer had been serving a nine year prison sentence for importing fifteen tons of cannabis into Australia.
