Making the most of reward programmes

With so many reward schemes around these days, it is just too difficult to gauge which ones are worthwhile, after all you only get a small amount of which can be described a discount or saving.

These schemes can be in the form of discount cards, points awarded on how you spend in a certain store and just about anything else that a business can think up in order to be able to keep hold of their customers.

But here are some tips on what’s out there:

Consider where you shop.

Project your spending.

Favour cash back.

Skip credit if you carry a balance.

Do the math on do-good programs.

Use airline miles fast.

Avoid temptation.

Of course you could just pay less for goods and services by haggling prices down; the discount is going to be much lower than any reward scheme ever offers.
