Finance help for uni

Its that time of the year again, when students are making their final plans to take that first major step into the wide world, going to university. Naturally they are full of excitement and nerves, so the last thing that they are going to want to be thinking about is boring finance.

However finance is the fuel that keeps a student at university, without it, their future is limited. There is plenty of advice out there and really it has to down to the student themselves to get into running their own finances, but just to help them along the way here are just ten simple points:

Get organized
Avoid credit cards!
Track your spending
Textbooks
Nights out
Use your campus
Your social network
Don’t get a car
Bad influences
Appreciate your time at college/uni

It is advisable to seek advice from many sources, and to begin financial planning now, before the student actually begins their studies, because it is then when finances can be forgotten. Best advice is BUDGET and stick to it.
