Who are the richest people of all time?

When we think of the wealthiest people around, normally the likes of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and the Sultan of Brunei spring to mind. But although these people hold some serious wealth in today’s crazy world, their wealth when worked out in relation to the economy is fairly small.

So just who are the richest people of all time?
