Teach your children about finance

In times like this, it is a good time to start teaching your children about finance matters. This is because when times are good it is not always easy to teach children about what happens when things go bad.

However, with finance matters being talked about virtually everywhere like the news and in the press. Then it is much better to be able to show the youngsters how bad things can really get for some people and that this sort of problem can happen to just about anyone, no matter how well off they may appear to be.

There are certain things that you as parent can do; here are just a few ideas:

Practice what you preach
Give an allowance
Teach them the value of money
Let them earn
Encourage business skills
Open an account for them
