Umbro looking for England victory

Management at Umbro will be hoping for an England win in the two Euro 2008 qualifiers against Israel and Russia over the next week or so. As sales of the England football shirts have not hit the targets that the company had expected. They have in fact only sold 35% of their stock, whereas they would have expected to have sold around 65% of the current shirt stock.

The problem with England shirts as opposed to club shirts, is that they only sell well if the team qualifies for major tournaments such as the world cup and euro cup, but should England fail to qualify within the next week, Umbro are likely to be left holding most of the remaining 65% of the current stock and with a new away shirt being launched in 2008 this will just create further problems.
