Women take control of finances

A role that has been traditionally that of the man of the house, the main earner, is being taken over by the woman. This is partly down the fact that there are more women these days who are earning more money than the man of the house, in fact in the past five years this figure has doubled to around twenty per cent of couples.

The reasons are varied for this transformation, but equality has a lot to do with it, but also the fact that women are less likely to worry about going out with their friends, when they could be better themselves at work, which they do.

If the trend continues then in another five years there will be almost a 50/50 split, now that’s equality.
