Six million families struggle with debts

It’s a sad fact but in a recent report by the National Consumer Council it was found that around six million families in the UK are struggling with debts of which eighty per cent are made up of credit cards, loans and mortgages.

In the last six years the amount of people who have been seeking help and assistance for their debts has increased by 44% and is still expected to grow further.

The trouble with debt is that it affects many people, young or old the fact is debts creep up on people and before they realise it, they are in trouble and it is essential to seek advice on how to handle the debts before it goes too far. But lenders do not have to take notice of the CAB or anyone else. So an early contact with the lender will go a long way.
