Data mix up

It’s impossible to say but, what on earth is happening to the data that companies and governments keep on us? We are told that everything is safe and secure which most of the time it probably is, but recently there has been so many data mix ups that it is getting worrying now.

Take the US firm Verizon, some of their users have been surprised to find that when they log into their user control panels only to that although the username and password are correct the account details are that of another user, with full contact and bank details, but also access to the mailbox where their emails are.

This could be a very serious breach of personal data security, and it took Verizon over two months to fix the problem, and we trust our personal details are kept safe and secure.
